Design Divas OBG Blog Hop

It’s time for our Design Divas blog group “Oldies But Goodies” Blog hop where we have to use something that’s been in our stash for at least 6 months. Piece of cake – I have things I’ve had for 6+ years, let alone 6 months. If you came from Linda’s blog at The Stamper’s Touch you are on the right track. If you want to start at the beginning, go to Heather’s Coffee Break.

I made this card for my Father in Law for Father’s Day and have never posted it. My “Oldie but Goodie” is the little fishing bauble bumble bee. The image is “Mr. Brown on Vacation” from Phindy’s. I first saw it on Linda’s blog at Payne Holler Cards and I had to have it. This is the image of my Father-in-Law ~ it looks exactly like him. He has the same hat and the float tube and the moustache. He loved it and right away said “Hey, that’s me!!”

And on the inside – a gift certificate for Cabela’s…

From here you will visit Vicki at Bountiful Blessings to see some beautiful creation of hers

Take care friends and thanks for stopping by.

Design Gives Back & Miracle Makeover for Charlie & Pink Saturday all in one…..

Are any of you familiar with Design Gives Back? I’ve heard of it, but did not know all that much about it – until now. For Pink Saturday this week, Beverly at How Sweet the Sound is helping to further their project of once a year doing a miracle makeover room for a child with cancer and maybe other health problems also – I’m still fuzzy on all the details. I do know this is all for a good cause and does not cost you or I a dime – only a comment left on Beverly’s blog post for today. Each comment earns a donation of $1.00 and she is going for $5000.00 ~ so please go to How Sweet the Sound and just leave a comment – yep, that’s all it takes. And while you are there stop and visit some of the other blogs for some wonderful talent, fun, and friends.

My pinks for today…

Vintage in Black and White

I’ve seen some vintage black and white done around the blogosphere lately and when I found and had to have this image  called “Summer Romance” and is found at The Vintage Workshop, I knew I had to give it a try – now I’m hooked – so there’s more to come in the hopefully near future – I bought some beautiful black lace trim I absolutely cannot wait to use. But in the meantime, here’s my first attempt at a vintage black and white…

Happy Tuesday to everyone! We finally have consistent beautiful weather here at the lake and I just love spending every minute possible outside. My sweet granddaughter Ashlee Rae is coming this Saturday to spend a week with us and I am so looking forward to walks and bike rides and coffee outside a little cafĂ©, and shopping. Can’t wait! In the meantime just a couple of creations…

It’s Pink Saturday….

Thank you to Beverly for sweetly hosting the Pink Saturday fun every week. Please visit her at How Sweet the Sound, sit down with a cup of good coffee or tea, and enjoy many many talented bloggers showcasing the color pink. It makes for a very relaxing Saturday morning. ~ or in this case Friday evening with a glass of wine. Beverly has set it up that we can post on Friday for Saturdays.

My contribution this week is a collection of baby items I’ve been working on for the shop in town Lake Tahoe Holidays and also my Etsy shop. I’ve decided to make my creating life a little less chaotic and messy (to say the very least – my studio looks like a bomb went off in it) I’m going to focus on somewhat of a theme each week – this week it was for “Baby”.

So, here’s my project…

And a little closer look…

100_4859 (566x800)

The beautiful image is from Iralamija’s shop as is the adorable digital papers. The heart is by Martha Stewart from Michael’s, buttons and trim from my stash, and the tiny rhinestones are by Darice also from Michael’s.  The glitter is Ranger’s Star Dust Glitter Glue.

Take care friends, Dru
