I saw a beautiful Valentine garland online somewhere and immediately knew I had to do something like it. Mine looks nothing like the one I saw, but I love it ~ small and sweet and perfect for stringing across a mirror, small shelf or window.
Each heart is made up of 5 small hearts sewn in the center with red thread, mounted on a pink scallop heart, a red heart that I actually made on my Cricut, and then again on a pink heart. I found the sweetest little decorative mini clothespins at Michael’s and used them to clip the hearts to a piece of button twine ~ that way you can make it as long as you like and you can space your hearts where you would like. And of course, I’ve accented the little hearts with some silver glitter.
My plan was to put it in my Etsy shop ~ but I haven’t yet ~ maybe I’ll do that right now so I can hook up to Common Ground Marketplace. Have you been there? There are some great handmade and vintage items ~ go by and take a look. Also The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog is challenging us to use pink, red, and white to create a project. Thought I’d give that a try also. And hooking up to Feathered Nest Friday – you’ve got to go by and take a look!
Take Care
