Ellen Clapsaddle is one of my most favorite artists ever. I use a lot of her images in my work and never tire of seeing them, touching them, glittering them, and surrounding them with bits and pieces of vintageness – is that a word? What I do know of her is very little, but she is one I would have loved to have met and soak in as much of her artistic mind as possible. I hope in some small and humble way, my work is a tribute to her.
I made these a few weeks back and had not posted them yet, so it has worked out well, as Really Reasonable Ribbon is having a new challenge using polka dots and as luck would have it, I had recently purchased some polka dot ribbon from them that I used one the first one of my projects. If you haven’t had an opportunity to visit their shop, please do so as their ribbon really IS reasonable and they have a beautiful and varied selection.
…and one more, although it does not have polka dots – however it does have the lovely stripe ribbon from them ~ they have some great ribbons for your patriotic projects. ~ I ordered several others besides what you see here – really some cute ones for babies.
And as I do not know when I will be posting again, a couple more items I’ve made this season, both for Lake Tahoe Holidays and my own Etsy shop.
And one last banner
Take care,
Dru
