Happy Memorial Day to all our fallen heroes, those yet standing, and the families of all those caring and waiting for their loved ones that have given so much to insure the freedoms we have here.
Remember that Freedom is never free
I’ve been away from my blog for a very long time; So if there are in fact any of you out there that do visit me, I apologize. My life is extremely busy and it seems silly to write when it seems I’m writing only to myself ~ but maybe that’s the way it’s suppose to be, so here are a few items I’ve made for this year’s Christmas Season. I hope you enjoy…
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Dru
A bit of a slow start this morning, but here I am (after how many weeks – I must be the world’s worse blogger) looking upon all the glorious signs of Spring for the posters of Pink Saturday. We’re at 30 degrees with snow coming down! So, I have no pretty spring flowers to show you as ours are just beginning to slightly bud. I do have what I think is a sweet card to share. I started it a couple of weeks ago and could just not decide how to finish it off ~ then yesterday morning (or was it the day before?) I was picking through a box on my work table that I just throw things into as I go – you never know what you’re going to find in there ~ and in just a couple of minutes completed my card. I like how it turned out – it’s like a breath of Spring to me.
Please join in at How Sweet the Sound with Beverly for a wonderful and fun Pink Saturday.
I happened across this challenge this morning and thought the card I was currently working on would fit into the challenge well. The image is taken from a vintage calendar and I love the illustrations, the detailed and gorgeous calligraphy (I think it’s some form of calligraphy???) and the overall softness of these images.
Just a few things for St. Patrick’s Day…
These next 2 are very similar because I love the papers and the overall jewel tone look to them. I made one for Lake Tahoe Holidays here in South Lake and then decided I wanted one for my Etsy shop as well – and if it doesn’t sell right away I’ll be able to look at it myself for awhile.
And last but not least, this little cutie…
Take care, Dru
It’s Pink Saturday with Beverly at How Sweet the Sound, and today I’m sharing a baby card with you and also some items made by members from Team Serenity on Etsy. First up is this card – the sweet digital image is from Iralamijashop on Etsy, the papers being a mix of vintage documents.
On this card, again vintage documents along with using up some of my stash in terms of the tag, some die cut hearts and a scrap of ribbon. The image and the beautiful floral paper are both from Iralamijashop.
Some wonderful items from Team Serenity
A beautiful set of vintage embroidered handkerchiefs from The Sandlapper Shop – she has many other lovely items as well.
A Tree of Life pendant necklace from Chickie Girl Creations. I love all of her items, but this is one of my favorite – so pretty, unique, and earthy.
And look at this sweetie ~ beautiful hand crocheted pixie bonnet for a newborn from Doodle Bopperz ~ and just look at those little chubby cheeks!
Last but not least these gorgeous vintage inspired earrings from Maggie Madness Jewelry – you’ve got to drop by this shop and take a look.
Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend ~ Happy Pink Saturday to all of you,
