Halloween in Wonderland

Using some of the beautiful papers I purchased last year Halloween in Wonderland by Graphic 45. There’s still time to take part in the City Crafter Challenge Blog challenge “An Early Boo”. The prize if your creation is chosen is a $15.00 gift certificate from Freckled Fawn where you will find an amazing array of Washi and other decorative tapes.

My humble creation…

By Pumpkins Fat and Witches Lean…

and so begins the poem on my latest creation for Halloween created all from the new line from Graphic 45 “Happy Haunting” ~ I actually made this about 2 weeks ago and am just getting around to posting it and I’m happy to say it has already sold in my Etsy shop. This is such a beautiful line with so many possibilities and potential. I have so many things running around in my head I just hope I get to actually put them to paper. I also used some new spider web dies from Papertrey Ink – last month’s release – I can’t tell you how much I love these!! The spider is a punch from Martha Stewart – love that also! Tissue Garland from Caramelo’s. I’m hooking up to City Crafter and their “An Early Boo Challenge”. There’s still time to play…

Spooky goings on…..

City Crafter Challenge Blog is hosting a challenge this week to use polka dots in your project – love those polka dots and this site for the unique challenges. I haven’t been able to play lately, but was so happy to see my new Halloween project fit into their challenge.

Another decorative item ~ this time with a vintage image of a witch and her cauldron ~ love these old vintage black and white images. I recently came across a great shop on Etsy called Glitter Dust Designs. Tara is the designer and makes some really great chipboard dies ~ the prices are good, the cost of shipping is very reasonable, the selection amazing and the attention to detail is right up my alley ~ just look at that tree!

I’ve painted, glittered, layered on the journaling card from Prima found at Scrapbook.com, the chipboard tree mentioned above, a chipboard owl I drew out also on chipboard ~ cut out and glittered, rhinestone strip, decorative brads, crochet trim, tissue garland found also on Etsy at Caramelo’s, some black tulle I gathered then made into fringe, and lastly tied with my own crinkled black seam binding. This one is a favorite for me ~ I love the color combination of black and crème with just a touch of the dusty orange. Had I known I was going to take part in this challenge I would have photographed the back as well – it’s all crème polka dots on a distressed black background.

Also have a couple more single pennant banners ~ both with polka dots to share…

The Fairy Witch…

A couple more wall hangings for Halloween… Some French documents, a cute image from Iralamija’s Shop on Etsy, paper from The Girl’s Paperie, tissue garland from Caramelo’s ~ also on Etsy, buttons are from Papertrey Ink, ribbon from my own stash, Martha Stewart gate punch from Michael’s. I hope to make a few more of these for my shop, but time seems to slip away from me.

Hooking up to Alota Rubber Stamps Halloween Challenge (I don’t have any of their stamps but apparently that’s o.k. (they have some REALLY cute little stamps. Trying to branch out a little, but not too many Halloween challenges out there yet. Also to Make It Monday Anything Goes Challenge.
