Vintage in Black and White

I’ve seen some vintage black and white done around the blogosphere lately and when I found and had to have this image  called “Summer Romance” and is found at The Vintage Workshop, I knew I had to give it a try – now I’m hooked – so there’s more to come in the hopefully near future – I bought some beautiful black lace trim I absolutely cannot wait to use. But in the meantime, here’s my first attempt at a vintage black and white…

Get Well Soon and Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday to everyone! We finally have consistent beautiful weather here at the lake and I just love spending every minute possible outside. My sweet granddaughter Ashlee Rae is coming this Saturday to spend a week with us and I am so looking forward to walks and bike rides and coffee outside a little cafĂ©, and shopping. Can’t wait! In the meantime just a couple of creations…

It’s Pink Saturday….

Thank you to Beverly for sweetly hosting the Pink Saturday fun every week. Please visit her at How Sweet the Sound, sit down with a cup of good coffee or tea, and enjoy many many talented bloggers showcasing the color pink. It makes for a very relaxing Saturday morning. ~ or in this case Friday evening with a glass of wine. Beverly has set it up that we can post on Friday for Saturdays.

My contribution this week is a collection of baby items I’ve been working on for the shop in town Lake Tahoe Holidays and also my Etsy shop. I’ve decided to make my creating life a little less chaotic and messy (to say the very least – my studio looks like a bomb went off in it) I’m going to focus on somewhat of a theme each week – this week it was for “Baby”.

Thank you so much June – this was so much fun! Remember, stop by City Crafter Challenge Blog for some really unique challenges. The one going on right now is “Let the Sunshine In” and the challenge is to use the word “sun” or a “sun” in our project.

City Crafter Challenge and Pink Saturday…

…all rolled into one. The challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog this week is “Birds of a Feather” and Kirsty is challenging us to use birds and/or bird cages – how wonderful is that?? And, you still have time to play. Challenge ends on July 11th, at 11:59 p.m. EST – so pop on over, take a look at the guidelines and join in the fun.

It’s also just in time for Pink Saturday at Beverly’s How Sweet the Sound and so my project works for both.

Happy creating and Happy Pink Saturday to everyone, Dru

Remember Peter Rabbit…

One of my most beloved characters as a child and read so many times to my own children. There’s something so sweet and magical about those little funny characters. I’ve had these adorable little images for awhile now and finally just yesterday decided what I wanted to do with them.

So many persons are now using “wish tags” as an alternate to a guest book for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday and retirement parties, anniversaries…you get the drift. I decided to make Peter Rabbit wish tags – that can also be used as favors or place cards at baby showers.

I added a small hand stamped flourish and a tiny pearl or rhinestone to each of them. They are now in my Etsy shop as a set of 20 – everyone with a different image and completely customizable.
