Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop

It’s time for the Design Diva’s  monthly blog hop…..

If you arrived here from Vicki’s blog at Bountiful Blessings you are in the right place. If you want to start at the beginning please start at Cindy’s blog Stamp with Me Cindy G.  The point is to use something in our project that we have not used in the past 6 months – I have so much stash and lately have been going through my older papers one at a time and trying to use them up all at once. I really do love the feeling of using up what I have. So, my project is a card made with an older piece of paper – I believe it is the Periphery line from Basic Grey??  With Father’s Day just ahead I decided to try my hand at a vintage masculine card – something I always struggle with, but here it is anyway…..

The buttons on this card are truly “vintage” some found in a lovely shop on Etsy and some found just junkin at garage sales, flea markets, and thrift stores – one of my most favorite things to do. The button card stamp is from the Button Boutique set, and the sentiment is from the Fillable Frames #8 stamp set – both from Papertrey Ink, the burlap is from JoAnn’s, and the little dragonfly etc. strip if from another shop on Etsy called Cemerony.

Your next stop from here is at Karen’s blog Studio at the Lake – have fun!

Take care friends, Dru

It’s time for Pink Saturday

and it’s finally looking a little like the softer side of Spring is slowing coming upon us – rain forecast for today and the weekend – but we’ve been having beautiful sunny and somewhat warm days. I’m enjoying walking around and looking at all the tiny little shoots coming up, pruning dead wood off my roses and getting them fertilized, dreaming of the beautiful plants I will be planting soon – I hope!  And even though I cannot plant yet – this is just one of the beauties I’m looking forward to…

Happy Mother’s Day, Happy Pink Saturday, and City Crafter Challenge all rolled into one…

First off…..

mothers_day_lilac - Ephemeras Vint Garden - Debb

to all the mother’s in my life and in yours…

My “pink” today is a card I made for the City Crafter Challenge Blog challenge. We were to incorporate these colors…..

My coral is actually a little more to the pink side….

So, to see a lot of beautiful pinks, pop on over to Beverly’s at How Sweet the Sound for much enjoyment. One of the things Beverly has asked us to do is to visit a blog we have not been to before and then direct everyone to. I’m usually remiss at this, but last week I was visited by a very cute and precocious young lady who has just started her blog – she’s very cute, obviously very bright, and has a wonderfully entertaining blog. Her name is Ms Burrito and you must stop by and say hello – it is pure delight!! Also, there is still time to take part in the City Crafter Challenge Blog challenge.

Everyone have a very Happy Mother’s Day, Derby Day, and Pink Saturday!

To Market Monday

t’s the first Monday of the month and that means it’s Market Monday on Etsy Cottage Style. Do you need a handmade beautiful gift or card for Mom? This is a good place to look – the talent is amazing and there are some beautiful items to choose from.

Also to share with you ~ a new Wedding Table Number design. It started out with a request from an Etsy customer who loved this pansy image to please try to coordinate it into a wedding table number and this is the result….

I am now working on the Wedding Wish tags to coordinate…

Take care and have a happy week friends, Dru
