Autumn Solitude…

Happy Magical Monday!  We have been challenged by Patti Painter to create a project inspired by this photo.

  BeInspired_8_16

I love this image of the fairy sitting on pumpkins on an Autumn evening, it’s called “Autumn Solitude” by Nina at Paper Cupcakes and can be found Here. I decided to use watercolors and an aqua brush. The CS is by Bazzill and Recollections, the DP is by Prima. The scrunched seam binding is my own, and the gem is also by Recollections from Michael’s.

Stop by the Paper Cupcakes Challenge Blog, pick up the freebie image, use an image you already have, or pick up new one in the shop, color it up, and play along. There’s a prize every week!

Easy Does It…

…is the name of this adorable image from Paper Cupcakes! Patti N. has challenged us to “Bling it Up”! And I’m sure many of you know this is one of my favorite things to do! I hope you can see all the bling!

PPC - Easy Does It - Flat View (800x600)

That sweet DP is from the Sweet Stack by Die Cuts with a View that you can find at Michael’s or JoAnn’s. I used my own scrunched seam binding, a gem by Recollections or Me and My Big Ideas also from Michael’s, and the sentiment is from Ellen Hutson, LLC. The image can be found at Nina’s Paper Cupcakes Shop.  Stop by the Paper Cupcakes challenge blog, pick up a freebie, use an image you already have, or pick up a new one, color it up, bling it up and take part in the challenge.  There’s always a fun prize for one lucky someone,.

Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful week!

It’s Magical Monday Again…

and Melanie has provided us with a sketch for the challenge this week.

MelanieNewby816

I chose to use “First Snow” found here. I love snowmen and I think he (or she) is just the cutest!! The paper is from the Jolly by Golly Mini Deck by Cosmo Cricket and I used a combination of nestabilities and MS snowflake dies and punches accented with one of my favorites – Stardust Stickles and tiny little snowflake brads I picked up somewhere – sometime.

Come join the fun! Use an image you already have, use the freebie on the Challenge Blog or stop by and treat yourself to a new one, put it together and link it up for a chance to win a sweet prize.  Hope to see all of you there!

Thanks for stopping by and I want to thank everyone that stops by my blog and leaves me such nice comments. You are an inspiration to me and I cherish you all.

Happy Magical Monday

Nilla has offered up a challenge to all of us to use this recipe: 1 ribbon, 2 embellishments, 3 DPs, and 4 flowers.   Once again, it was truly a challenge for me – I am so accustomed to “doing my own” thing, that being part of a DT is a challenge in itself – but one I am truly enjoying, and it really is good thing to work “out of your box” so to speak.  My image this week is “Harvest Geese” and you can find it in Nina’s shop HERE. I think this is a most beautiful Autumn scene and so peaceful with these sweet geese – and they truly are sweet, we have a lot of geese here during the summer and I love to go to the lake, feed them, and have them nestle in beside me and take naps with their babies – one of life’s great simple pleasures.

Harvest Geese - Full

The image was colored with a combination of PrismaColor, Crayola, RoseArt, and Koh I Noor pencils and blended with OMS. My 2 embellishments are paper piercing and the stacked buttons with gem in the center of the 4 flowers all on my 1 ribbon.

Here’s a close up of the button/gem embellishment.

Come play along with us – there’s always a free image available, you can use one you already have, or stop by the Paper Cupcakes Shop and pick up a new one – there’s so many cute images to choose from – and have fun!! There’s always a cool prize for a lucky someone too!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week! For anyone interested, I’ll be posting more banners this week also!
