My Wish for Your Happiness....

I do wish happiness for all of you, and that is the sentiment on the inside of my hinge card for our Secret Sister Challenge. It was a lot of fun once I was able to sit down and really work on it. I love the papers - all from Webster's Pages, the scrunched seam binding was hand dyed by myself as well as the scrunching. I have a few "different" colors than I've seen on the web and in the online shops, so I may put some together and put them in my Etsy shop. If any of you are interested, I will post when I get them ready. The dragonfly brad is an old one I had in my stash - loved them but never knew what to do with them really until this card.

The next challenge was "Anything But a Card", so I did tags from vintage wallpaper designs with vintage seam binding and glitter.

Happy Friday everyone and have a wonderful weekend.

Shabby Tea Room Challenge

Has everyone heard of The Shabby Tearoom? Well for those of you that love vintage and shabby, this is a beautiful blog with really great challenges - right up my alley, and the challenge is to use chipboard. Unfortunately I did not have the time to make something absolutely new, as I have just spent a considerable amount of time making quite a few items that would fit with the challenge, so I apologize to those of you who have seen these before, but I just had to take part.

Lots of snow here today - blizzard conditions yesterday for only a foot of snow! Happy Spring - I hope my pretty little daffodils survive! Take care everyone and thank you for dropping by.

Good Morning...

It's beautiful here today. That's the way it happens up here, we go along with snow in April and May, then one morning I leave the house and it's 33 degrees, when I leave the shop it's 70 and we know that Summer is upon us - honestly, just that quick. I love the quirkiness of our weather.

Today I'm finally posting my Secret Sister Challenge Project to make an envelope card. A good tutorial can be found HERE at the Pixie Cottage Blog. It was something different and a lot of fun.

And, the inside.....

Have a happy week!

Blog Group Challenge

***Just a Note*** Today is Market Monday on Etsy Cottage Style - just click on the badge to the right and take a look!

This month it is my turn to host the challenge for our blog group. The challenge is to make a vintage masculine card for Father's Day or just for the men in your life. Here are a few samples. Have fun, can't wait to see your creations. All of these were made with Graphic 45 "A Proper Gentleman" paper and a die cut page.

Thanks for stopping by.

Random Pinks for Pink Saturday

Today I am posting random pinks - a card I made maybe 3 years ago for a Crafty Secrets Challenge I believe maybe before I even had a blog.

A boquet of pink baby roses my husband bought for me and I dried so that I can save them and look at them forever.....

Vintage linens I have found at thrift stores, garage sales, and the like. I look at them and think about the person that spent all the time to embroider them and to crochet or tat the edgings, and cannot bear to leave them there with no one to care for them. My mother and a dear older friend taught me how to embroider when I was around 7 years old and I still love it today, along with crochet and a myriad of other hand crafts that I seldom have time for. I hope you enjoy them

Happy Pink Saturday to everyone! Hop on over to Beverly's at How Sweet the Sound to see more "Pinks"

Take care,
Dru
