Papertrey Blog Hop

It's that time again - I did not participate in Jan. and really missed it. The challenge this month was to view the DTs blogs/galleries and pick something that inspired you. Not an easy task as I find so many of them to be not only inspiring, but beautiful. Pretty soon I'm trying to put everything I like on one card - not good!! So, I picked something out of my comfort zone as I am generally more of a pastel person. But I do love the colors Betsy Veldman uses quite often - beautiful, vibrant, juicy colors - and so I decided to give it a try (The button really is pink not red like it looks in the photo)

Vintage Cream CS and button twine along with stamped sentiment from the "Mother" set and stamped vine from the "Turning a New Leaf" set are all from Papertrey, the pink CS is by Bazzill from Michael's as are the gems, ribbon, and button. The DP is from the Basic Grey, the Porcelain pack, the butterfly is from Tattered Angels, and the glitter is by Martha Stewart - also from Michael's.

Have a good evening everyone and enjoy the hop. Thanks for stopping by and take care.

It's Pink Saturday Again.....

and after I told Beverly I would be participating I started to panic thinking what do I have that's pink - oh yes, I have vintage linens - that would be a good pink post! However, when I went to pull them out, I could not get to them as we are still in a mess with our living room and there are heavy boxes sitting on top of the basket they're in. Panic again! What else can I do?? I think I need to do some pink shopping!! Then I remembered I have cards I made before I had a blog and very few of them were posted in my online gallery, so here are 3 of my favorites - they're not all pink, but I think they qualify...

Hop on over to see Beverly at How Sweet The Sound and take a few minutes to enjoy some of the beautiful blogs and wonderful talent. Happy Pink Saturday everyone!!

2 Challenges in 1

I could not pass up these challenges, however I just found out about them today, so I may be too late - but I loved putting this card together anyway. One of the challenges is a sketch by CPS combined with a photo inspiration challenge by Melissa Phillips. You'll probably need to scroll down a bit to find this challenge. She puts up the most beautifully colored photos which truly are inspiring and I just had to participate.

All digital images here from Digital Collage Sheets and from Trishia at French Kissed.

I used Kraft CS, button twine and Vintage Cream CS from Paprtrey, pearls are from Ellen Hutson and the glitter is ArtDeco Glamour Dust which I believe I got at Michael's

I Love You.....

This card was created for the Designing Divas Blog Group Challenge on SCS. This month it was sketch challeng put together for us by Leigh Ann from Stamping with Annie B. I needed a card for my husband and this challenge worked very well, and put me a little out of my comfort zone as I'm not too much into circles - I know, I know - but I'm just not - and it's not something I would normally pick out. But, I really like the end result. Lots of hearts huh?? My husband will love it.

I was also at Darlene's blog and saw a new-to-me challenge blog Raise the Bar and since the challenge this week is hearts I decided I would take part in that also. If you are unfamiliar with this challenge site, pop over and take a look - it seems like fun.

Have a wonderful week, enjoy the Super Bowl and gearing up for Nascar - Go Junior!!

Take care everyone and thanks for stopping by.

To My Valentine

Happy Tuesday! Sorry for being away so long - lots of business details and deadlines in January, but hopefully things will get back on a more even keel now.

Here are a few Valentines Day cards I made a few months back and forgot all about.
Nothing too involved, pretty simple, easy and quick to pull together.

I'm planning on doing a tutorial on crepe paper rosettes in the very near future. They are an alternative to the folded paper rosettes. I think you'll like them.

For now, take care and have a wonderful week. Thanks so much to everyone dropping by - I appreciate your comments so much!
