Pink Saturday and a Baptism Invitation

Alas, in my constant albeit somewhat restricted forage for pinks I was thinking I had nothing to share as I’ve been working on weddings and 4th of July projects and then I remembered, one of my customers had asked me to design a Baptism invitation for their daughter’s upcoming baptism. And what were the colors? Yes, white, silver and PINK!

There were a few to choose from~

And then my favorite – of course…

Don’t look at the edges not held down well. On my samples, I just hold them together with double sided tape for demonstration purposes, so I can change the front around until I come up with the design my customer wants.

And here is the one chosen…

Happy Pink Saturday…

It’s time again for Pink Saturday. I have not played for a couple of weeks as I’ve been working on Patriotic themed items for Lake Tahoe Holidays here in town and thus have had nothing in pink. I have a few more Mother’s Day cards started and so finished one for Pink Saturday. Thank you Beverly for hosting this each week. Pop on over to How Sweet the Sound to meet a lot of really nice people and see some beautiful pinks.

Here’s mine – not just for Mother’s Day actually – there’s no sentiment, so it’s appropriate for many occasions.

I’m still using up older paper, so that’s what I have here, with a little sewing, an image from Seneca Pond, some glitter, my own crinkled seam binding along with my own handmade trinket pins, a K & Co embellishment on a scrap of trim and some other bits of treasures.

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Pink Saturday to all of you.

I’m hooking this up with The Vintage Cafe Card Challenge. The challenge this week is to use pearls in your project. I hope all you who celebrate Easter are having a wonderful day.

CR84FN51 Color Challenge

I know I’ve mentioned this challenge site before ~ CR84FN They have some of the most interesting and fun challenges. The colors in this inspiration photo are beautiful…

and this is my take ~ actually since I create by mood, I usually make something and then see if there’s a challenge to fit. I hope this works…

The image is from Crafty Secrets “Birds and Blossoms” Creative Scraps, the papers are scraps and digital vintage ephemera. The little tag is from Papertrey Tiny Tags, as is the sentiment “wish”, the little egg embellishment is from one of Brenda Walton’s Designs for K & Co., buttons are from my stash and the ribbon is vintage seam binding hand-dyed and crinkled by me.

I’m also linking up to Crafty Secrets 1st Linky Party on their blog  Heartwarming Vintage Inspirations
