Happy Pink Saturday…

It’s been such a long time since I’ve been able to participate and I’m so happy to be able to do so. For a look into a lot of really beautiful blogs, pinks, and talented people, pop on over to Beverly’s at How Sweet the Sound and spend a few delightful minutes to refresh yourself and see some new perspectives. It is time well spent.

My pinks today are from the last hurrah of Summer here at the Lake. We have had the most beautiful Autumn and our flowers are still blooming – this is rare for us as they are usually frozen dead sticks by now. So this year we are spoiled.  One of our neighbors was moving off the hill last year and was having a garage sale. I’ve been looking for an old wheel barrow for a very long time now and here it was just waiting for me – and the best part – she gave it to me!! I couldn’t wait to get it planted with flowers, so that was one of the first gardening projects this summer and I am so pleased with the way it turned out. There are other colors besides pink of course, but the pink is definitely in there.

The storms are moving in, rain starting tonight, possible first snow storm by Tuesday. The flowers may last through the first couple of light storms, but not for long. They will be gone, and I will miss their beauty when I walk outside, but I’m already planning on what I will put in there next year – I think only pink, white, and greens.

Pink Birds of Flight1

I’m also showing you a new tag that’s going into my Etsy shop. This is one of my favorites – beautiful vintage birds in pink, accented with what else but glitter, and tied with pink and cream vintage seam binding.

Happy Pink Saturday everyone and thanks so much for stopping by.

I cannot believe you still have beautiful flowers like these...ours are all GONE! A few faded and scrawny one reran, but that is it for us. I also cannot imagine a possible snow storm on its way so early...but the, I am in the Blue RIdge Mts. of VA and not on the Pacific. So glad to see you back with PS....yours shots are lovey.

How wonderful for your beautiful flowers to last so long in to Fall. Great photos to remind you how neat they looked in the wheelbarrow/planter.

Thank you for visiting CollectInTexas Gal today on my Featured Pink Saturday.

Happy Pink Saturday, Dru!
Your wheel barrow is gorgeous over flowing with all those pretty posies!
Our nights are getting colder and colder and I know the few blooms I left will soon be gone...and, like you I am already thinking to spring and what I will be planting. I just planted over 200 new bulbs and I will be happy to see them peek up through the soil....
Where in the coastal range are you? We used to live on Mt. Laguna outside of San Diego when we were in the US Forrest Service.

Your tags are beautiful!!!!!
Hugs,
Jil

It seems the flowers don't want to quit this year, doesn't it? Just when I think I've seen my last bloom, somebody decides to give me a show!
beautiful photos!

your pink petunias and other flowers are so pretty. My petunias just did not do well this summer. The extreme heat was just too too much for them. Glad you are getting to enjoy yours longer than usual. Happy belated Pink Saturday. ~
