Design Divas OBG Blog Hop

It’s time for our Design Divas blog group “Oldies But Goodies” Blog hop where we have to use something that’s been in our stash for at least 6 months. Piece of cake – I have things I’ve had for 6+ years, let alone 6 months. If you came from Linda’s blog at The Stamper’s Touch you are on the right track. If you want to start at the beginning, go to Heather’s Coffee Break.

I made this card for my Father in Law for Father’s Day and have never posted it. My “Oldie but Goodie” is the little fishing bauble bumble bee. The image is “Mr. Brown on Vacation” from Phindy’s. I first saw it on Linda’s blog at Payne Holler Cards and I had to have it. This is the image of my Father-in-Law ~ it looks exactly like him. He has the same hat and the float tube and the moustache. He loved it and right away said “Hey, that’s me!!”

And on the inside – a gift certificate for Cabela’s…

From here you will visit Vicki at Bountiful Blessings to see some beautiful creation of hers

Take care friends and thanks for stopping by.

Wonderful tribute to your father-in-law, Dru. This is such a nice masculine card and so glad you had the nice image to use for and the great background stamping as well.

First of all, how could I have missed your gorgeous blog all this time? It is stunning and I am now a follower. I love the script text. It makes me feel like I am reading a letter from a friend! You FIL's card is wonderful! Simply masculine and warm, not easy to do when we get caught up in the cute and frilly. You nailed it! Thanks for sharing and I'll be sure to visit more often!

What a fabulous card for your FIL....or any guy. I'm sure he flipped over it. I love the subtle image of the fish stamped on the kraft over his head as he floats and relaxes.....you have a wonderful sense of humor.
