A Little Bit of Whimsy

…is what I was feeling when I made this. I’ve been wanting to put something like this together for such a long time now – but seems there’s always something else in the way, and it isn’t like this goes together really fast.

Here’s another shot, but seems neither one is all that good – I just could not get my lighting right…

But, I had great fun working on it. The paper mache house is from Michael’s, the rest is just bits and pieces I had around my studio area, except for the little angel, I believe that is from the Little Pink Studio. I think I’m hooked though and would love to do more – maybe for Valentine’s Day as Christmas is now so close. We’ll see.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Chrismas season.

Take Care,

Dru

Very cute Dru, I really like the angel on the top. I found some very nice house shaped boxes at our local Dollar Tree store. I only purchased three. After seeing your project I might have to go back to see if they still have them. They are decorated to look like houses but it would be easy to gesso paint or decoupage over the finish. I'm giving the ones I bought to my grandchildren for train yard houses. I love the $ stores. Have a great day!

Dru, this is absolutely gorgeous!! I haven't done anything so ambitious, but you really made this into one gorgeous project. I love all the various papers you used and all the wonderful details. I know you will enjoy having this around. TFS with all of us.

Truly lovely! Oh how I envy you and Michael's. We have nothing like that over here - must try and be nice to the other half... maybe he could make me a shape to try something like this. Love it.
