For the Boys

I have a few in my life ~ my husband, my son-in-law, grandson and Father-in-Law, so when I sit to make cards for Father’s Day I usually do a few at a time. And then I think I should put some in my Etsy shop and of course some for Keri at Lake Tahoe Holidays.

This year I came upon a gorgeous vintage image of a salmon in beautiful shades of blue from Karen at The Graphics Fairy.

Each of them are just slightly different ~ appropriate for Father’s Day or any other “male” occasion. A couple of them are in my Etsy shop and the others are saved for MY men.

Last but not least – this is the 1st one I made. A little plain and I may add more to it – but I could not part with it as the button on it is extremely vintage – maybe even antique and has the best patina on it in exactly the shades of blue in the image. I’m saving it for my husband.

Yep, definitely adding more – definitely some paint and I’m not sure what else. The paper is some older Graphic 45 “A Proper Gentleman”, my own recycled cardboard, Papertrey Ink label stamp from their last month’s new release camping set, the sentiment from Flourishes “What a Catch” set (this is a great set with some really cool stamps revolving around fishing). The other label is also from Papertrey Ink, the Just the Ticket set.

Take Care,

Dru

WOW, these are amazing guy cards. Lots of embellishing touches too, my guy cards are almost always very very plain because I can never think of what to put on them. Great ideas!
