One Last Halloween Banner......

I have one last (I promise!) Halloween banner to share with you. This time I glittered the letters with Black and make lollipop flowers to anchor them on with a clear gem at the bottom of each. This is one of my favorites! Hope you like it.

One of the things I have been doing for the past several months now is mixing digital images or papers with traditional papers. I read on someone's blog this is called "Hybrid" scrapping or cardmaking (I'm not sure if that's her own word or if it's really the name for it - makes sense though) I love digital papers - you never run out of the ones you love so you don't mind cutting into them so much. These papers are from Seneca Pond - love her stuff. Eileen is the owner and couldn't be nicer. She has a large selection of goods. This particular one is from a Halloween ATC pack.

Take care everyone, thanks for stopping by. I do so love your visits and hearing from you.

Good Morning...

...and Happy Tuesday!

This card is for the Cuttlebug Challenge to take inspiration from one of the DT and make a card. I chose Karen Maldonado's card as my inspiration. I thought the green and black color combo would work really well with my image from Inkadinkado "Mindscapes" stamps. I love these images - they are so detailed with images in images. I used the Spiderweb Cuttlebug embossing folder (love it!) for the black panel, Basic Grey's DP from the Eerie Collection, black ink to distress around the edges, and that's pretty much it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Another Halloween Banner

Another little banner for the shop. I've had this made for a couple of weeks now, and am just getting around to posting it! For this one I used Spellbound double-sided Polka Dot Stripe and Brocade Orange DP by Making Memories. The ribbons are miscellaneous ones mostly from Michael's along with black vintage seam binding. I made small crepe paper half rosettes to back the letters - I love crepe paper rosettes...

Anyway, that's it - short post today, but at least that's 2 so far for this week, and I do have at least one more. Please stop by again, I love to hear from you.

Take Care,

Spiders and Witches and Ravens.....

I love all those creepy little things about Halloween. I have a new banner to share with you today - this has been a big seller for me at Lake Tahoe Holidays and I do love making them, but don't seem to be able to keep up with the demand - that's a bad and a good thing. I'm still in awe that they go so fast and people really do like my work as much as they do since that doesn't seem to be the case in my Etsy shop - go figure! Anyway for this banner I created the DP myself by simply stamping rows of Halloween images (most are from Crafty Secrets and Inkadinkado) on a pale grey piece of CS that comes in the Michael's paper packs, cut them in the shape I wanted and adhered them to black CS - also from Michael's, accented them with glitter, added some MS punched spiders and bats along with a cut out raven all from black glitter paper, added eyelets for stability to run fibers through and that's it.

Hope you like it and that you're having a wonderful Saturday. We're on our way to Apple Hill for our anniversary - 13 years on Monday! Can't wait - pumpkins, apples, Asian pears, apple cider, apple cider lattes, apple donuts, apple sundaes, apple slices with caramel sauce - well, you get the picture - YUM!

Happy Monday...

I thought I would show you what I have been working on - besides several more of the "Wicked" garlands, I thought I would also do some smaller ones. I like these, and they go a lot faster. Very simple, the only time element is making the resettes either out of paper or crepe paper, they both take a fair amount of time, especially when you're doing them in mass - your eyes start to cross. I love doing them though and they do very well in the shop. Hope you like them!!

I'm off to our family business today - another long one (sigh) Oh well, we must do what we have to do to pay the bills and buy all that papercrafting stuff (lol). Have a wonderful day.
